My Dear Friends in Christ,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
As we reflect on the blessings bestowed upon us, I am reminded of the unwavering generosity and support from our church community. Your commitment to our shared mission has made a profound impact on the lives we touch and the outreach we achieve.
Throughout this year, our church family at St George in the Pines has continued to thrive in faith, love, and service. We've witnessed meaningful stories of transformation and seen the power of collective giving manifest in our ministries and fellowship programs such as our amazing Banff Food and Friends program which has offered more than 4000 meals in the last six months, a blessing to our community in a time when food insecurity is at an all-time high.
We have also provided key spiritual and communal support through our Alpha programs and local bible studies. These programs and ministries not only provide material blessings to folks here in Banff but bless people spiritually and address the loneliness that is a defining feature of our modern lives. Your contributions—whether through time, talents, or financial gifts—have made a tangible difference.
Yet, as we approach a new season, we are called to renew our commitment to stewardship. Our faith teaches us that our resources are gifts from God, entrusted to us to further His kingdom here on Earth. Your ongoing financial support is crucial in sustaining our mission and enabling us to expand our outreach efforts.
As we enter the Advent season, and prepare our hearts for the gift God gives to us in Jesus his son, I invite you to prayerfully consider continuing or increasing your support for our church's ministry. Your donations, no matter the size, directly impact our ability to serve our congregation and the wider community. Your faithfulness ensures that our doors remain open, our programs continue to flourish, and our impact grows stronger. So, I ask that you join me in filling out a stewardship form and making a pledge to our shared life and ministry at St. George’s for 2024. This will help inform our planning about the level of ministry we are able to maintain in the coming year.
This year, we are aiming to grow as a St George’s church community in order to love God more deeply, increase in meaningful friendship with each other, and together bless Banff in newer and greater ways. Your partnership in this endeavour will bring us closer to fulfilling this vision and reaching new heights in our mission.
Please take a moment to reflect on the blessings you've received and consider how you can support our church financially. Your sacrificial giving not only sustains our church but also enriches your own spiritual journey.
You may contribute through regular tithes and offerings during our services, cheques by mail, e-transfer to info@stgeorgesinthepines.com, Tithely or Canada Helps online platforms, and many other options listed on our website linked here.
Thank you for your unwavering dedication to our St George in the Pines family. Together, let us continue to sow seeds of faith, hope, and love in our community and beyond. Though we are small, we are mighty. It is my honour and privilege to be the priest at St. George in the Pines, to learn about what it means to follow Jesus, to be stewards of all that God has entrusted to us alongside you here and now.
May God's grace and blessings abound in your life.
In Christ's love,
Rev Seth Enriquez
