For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” John 6:40

Have you ever been rejected? It really hurts. We all need and desire to be loved, respected, and valued. Most times, rejection happens because people want us to be something or someone we’re not.

The great thing about God is that he doesn’t place unrealistic expectations on us. All God wants us to do is simply come to him. And when we come to God, he promises to never reject us. No matter who you are or what you’ve done, when you place your trust in Christ, God welcomes you with open arms and promises to never let you go. In him, you have everything you need. So when friends, coworkers, or even family reject you, let you down, or don’t accept you, remember that God loves you no matter what, and God desires for you to spend eternity with him.

You may be in a place where you’re looking for love, validation, and acceptance. Take a few moments right now to talk with God about how you feel. Ask God to help you sense his love for you. Ask God to teach you how to not focus on trying to please the audience of many, but to focus on the audience of one: God.
