Greetings church family!
With fall rapidly making its way to our lovely town, I wanted to share some relevant updates about the life of our church community:
This September I’ve been appointed Rector at St George in the Pines Anglican Church. I am humbled and honoured to accept this appointment and look forward to serving our church family in this new role.
I’d also love to grab a coffee with you! If you’d like to connect please let me know at email@example.com or call/text me at 647-67-1985, I would love to catch up and learn more about you and all the members of our wonderful community.
We also have two new Wardens: Jane Russell - People’s Warden and Bill Pringle - Rector’s Warden, and our new Treasurer Lily Reid. You can learn more about each of them on our website linked here.
Ania Ronkiewicz has faithfully served as Parish Administrator for St George’s this past season and has now been invited to stay on full time at St Michael’s in Canmore as their Office Manager from September 2023. We are so grateful for the time she was with us in this season of transition and wish her all the best in her new full-time role at St Michael’s. Thank you Ania!
With Ania’s departure, Brit Enriquez will be taking on Parish Administrator in a volunteer capacity. You can reach her via our church email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Join us this Saturday 16 September at 191 Sundance Road from 7pm - 9pm for the Fall Folks Party! Excellent local music and food provided by St George’s very own Banff Food and Friends.
God loves the world. That includes our pets! Come over on Sunday 1 October at 10am for our Blessing of the Animals service. Bring your cat, pup, animal stuffy, or picture of a beloved pet now in heaven for a time of blessings, treats, and friendship. No church experience needed, all are welcome!
If you would like to stay up to date on the life of our church community and would like for us to get in touch with you as needed, please fill out the short survey linked below with your current information. We will receive and keep your information in the strictest confidence and use only as directed by you.
That's all for now. God bless you dear friends. I hope this new season brings to you a renewed sense of God's love, joy, and peace. So keep safe, and hope to see you this coming Sunday!
