Jesus is resurrected at Easter and he's gifted us his Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Now what?

Come over each Sunday this season of Trinitytide to discover how the love of God given to us so long ago is also gifted to us today and can shape our modern lives in beautiful and life-giving ways.

Join us for Holy Communion at 10 am and then coffee right after!

Celebrant:

The Rev. Seth Enriquez

Hymn:

Almighty God (Link)

Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah *NEW* (Link)

In Tenderness (Link)

WHAT WE'RE READING, LISTENING TO, AND WATCHING

Edifying content that has deeply informed our work this season

- Lemonade on the Porch (Part 2) is an excellent article that shares the three key ways to share your faith: hospitality, cultural apologetics, and forgiveness.

- A Catechism of Nature: Meditations on Creation’s Primary Realities is a short but wonderful series of reflections on the deep connection the Christian faith has with nature.

- On this recent episode of 'The Deconstructionists' podcast, the hosts interview Dr. Richard Beck on his new book 'Reviving Old Scratch' which deals with a modern understanding of the spiritual world we inhabit and avenues of compassion for our everyday life.

- The world is burning. Who can convince the comfortable classes of the radical sacrifices needed? is a challenging word from Justine Toh on the state of the world and what it takes to make it better

- Pray for a Nervous Breakdown is a sobering reflection on what it means to have an honest spiritual awakening.

- Watch this shortvbut powerful video with Archbishop Justin Welby as he expounds the words of Jesus: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. - Matthew 5:9

Being Good vs Being Understood

Being Good vs Being Understood

Sunday Sermon, October 8, 2023

Being a 'good person' isn't the point of a genuine Christian faith, it's recognizing that our relationship with God can only be healed by Jesus.

Bible Study

Bible Study

Every Tuesday 4:30pm at The Rectory

The Bible is God's written word, given to us by the Holy Spirit as a revelation of God's acts in history and our final authority in matters of faith and practice.

So we're making time to meet weekly to read the bible, explore and share on our weekly passage, and to grow in faith and friendship.

Come over every Tuesday at 4:30pm at The Rectory (406 Buffalo St) with Seth & Brit as they host our bible study!
