Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12

What are you willing to fight for?

What does “fighting a good fight” mean to you? In life, the more passionate you are about something, the harder you’re willing to fight for it, and the more committed you are to it. We all fight for things - but is what you’re fighting for worth it?

Imagine for a moment what your life would be like if you were passionate about Jesus - or even more passionate than you are today. No matter how hard things got, there would be a determination and motivation to live a life pleasing to God.

When it comes to living a Jesus-centered life, it’s a daily fight. However, the fight isn’t with God; it’s within us. The phrase “Take hold” means holding on to the truth that God has given eternal life and forgiveness for all who trust in Jesus. When we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us and live within us, we never lose the fight.

Talks with God. Tell God about the things that worry you. Turn them over to God. Resist the urge to try to handle things in your own. Commit to letting God fight your battles with you.
